To some Ascada Bistro is a place to go and find some of the best steaks, mac & cheese, gumbo or peach cobbler in the city. To others it is the place to go catch a glimce and hang out with recording artist, professional athletes, movie stars or celebrities. But to me it is a family owned local place, where average everyday people like me can go relax, have an incredible meal and lounge in a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the service is attentive and the food is without question some of the best around.
Owner
Ascada was started by Seattleite Troy E. Wright who grew up understanding the true meaning of what it means to share the love of God “good things” with as many people as possible. This desire nurtured him to found the Washington State Mass Choir (First choir in Washington history to reach billboard top 40) work for The family of Jimi Hendrix asVP of the Jimi Hendrix Estate, President and founder of the award winning Hendrix Records and raise four wonderful sons. All of this travel and experience led him to some of the world’s best places for food, culture and entertainment hence the reason why the menu is so eclectic with a home cooked feel.
Food
Before Ascada opened Troy contacted all of the fabulous places he had dined, called the owners and ask for their recipes. He then tweaked them with his great chef and presented something special for everyone to share. For example the Southern Catfish and Red beans and rice are authentic recipes from New Orleans, the Jerk chicken recipe from Jamaica, Blond di bolai recipe from Italy, Michocan tacos recipe from Michocan Mexico and Peach cobbler from grandma. The Award winning steaks and seafood are all seasoned with a blend of spices and seasoning from around the world making Ascada truly a unique experience.
Atmosphere
Ascada is a warm lively environment with large Italian mirrors and authentic gold and platinum albums of Jimi Hendrix on the walls that give Ascada a classy rustic New York design. Black linen table clothes cover the table while white linen napkins sit inside of wine glasses. The dining chairs are plush red leather and designed to support your back. The lounge has platinum bistro tables, a black marble bar and a seductive red and grey lavish couch.

As you can imaging the entertainment value at Ascada is like non other in the city. As a strong supporter of local music, From Sunday’s Gospel Brunch to Thursday night artist showcase Ascada introduces some of the best NW talent to share their musical expression.
